Just one year ago, I was experiencing extreme debilitating pain in both my shoulders. The pain was unbearable, keeping me from doing the things I loved, like playing golf, or spending time with my grandson. I couldn't even sleep without the pain waking me. I had sought help from another orthopedic surgeon, but their treatments provided me no relief. By the time I met with Dr. Kevin Murphy, I had been living in pain for six years and was looking for hope, answers and some finite relief. Dr. Murphy diagnosed me with Rotator Cuff Tears in both my shoulders and recommended Hip/ Knee/ Shoulder Arthroplasty Rehab to repair the tears. I was relieved to find hat this procedure was performed at the CenterOne out-patient surgery center next to the office. Needing the procedure on both shoulders, I was worried about my recovery time. Dr. Murphy assured me that a quicker recovery time was a major benefit of arthroscopic surgery. I had my left shoulder surgery in September and my right shoulder in November. Within a month, I had no more pain and a complete return to activities. I received my Physical Therapy at Heekin Orthopedic Specialists' convenient onsite location. I have nothing but praise for the director of PT, Gil Hayag, who personally treated me. As for Dr. Murphy, he is worth his weight to me in gold! His bedside manner made me feel warm and comfortable and made me look forward to my visits. I now live pain-free and am able to play golf again! More importantly, I am able to play with my only grandson. Dr. Murphy is an excellent surgeon and I would whole-heartedly recommend him to anyone experiencing Shoulder or Knee Pain.
